6 Finalist Positions at the 2022 BHBA's!

On Thursday 28th of April 2022 the shortlist for the British Hairdressing Business Awards was announced, showing Goldsworthys Hairdressing as finalists in SIX categories!

Each year the number and quality of entries gets better, and the judges commented this year on the professionalism of all the entries

The Swindon Salon has secured two finalist positions in Salon of the Year 1, and Salon Team of the Year.

Five Team members across all three of the Goldsworthy Salons have secured finalist positions in the individual categories, and will move on to an interview round before the winner is announced at the July Final. Those team members are as follows:

Assistant of the Year - Lucy Boodell

Lucy is in her second year of training in the Goldsworthy Academy, and is a full time Assistant in the Cirencester Salon. Lucy started her training later than usual due to the pandemic and lockdown however this has not held her back in her development as she continues to grow and hit milestones in her career. Lucy has already started doing regular clients in the Cirencester Salon and has a fantastic approach with all of her work.

This is the first competition that Lucy has entered and to be shortlisted in the finals is a massive achievement and we could not be prouder.

Salon Stylist of the Year - Morgan Bisley

Morgan joined Goldsworthys in 2005 as an apprentice at the Swindon Salon then in 2013 he moved to the Marlborough Salon that he now runs with a fully booked column. Morgan has developed his skills and honed his craft over the last 15 years and is a well respected stylist with great success behind him, including being awarded with the Goldsworthy Gold Cup for outstanding achievement in 2019.

This is his first time entering the BHBA's and we are thrilled that he has reached the finals and wish him the best of luck!

Manager of the Year - Sophie-Rose Goldsworthy

This is Sophie's second year entering the BHBA's in the Manager category and last year she was announced the winner at the Finals in London.

Following in her brother's footsteps Sophie is hoping to win this category 3 times which would enter her into the Hall of Fame. Sophie is based in the Swindon Salon office during the week, and is a busy Salon Stylist on Fridays and Saturdays.

We have everything crossed that she can take home the win a second year running!

Director of the Year - Steven & Tracy Goldsworthy

This is Steven & Tracy's second year in entering, and making the finals of the BHBA's in the Directors Category. This dynamic duo epitomise everything that is deserving of such a title proven by the success of the Salon over the last 60 years. Since taking the reigns of the company in 2008 the pair have expanded the business into a three salon group, and have adapted with the ever-changing world of business to continue the success and growth of both the team and business.

Steven is an award winning Stylist with a place in the Hall of Fame for British Hairdressing, as well as an award winning Trichologist specialising in hair loss and hair thinning.

Tracy handles everything business related, a jack of all trades but believe us, a master of ALL! She controls the payroll, the accounts, brand relations and even manages the phone lines to free up time for the stylists to be able to fit more clients in!

We wish them the best of luck in the finals and hope they can take home the win!

The finals will take place on Monday July 4th at The Park Plaza Hotel in London. Wish us luck!
