Goldsworthy’s Hairdressing was founded in Swindon in 1961 by Peter and Peggy Goldsworthy under the original name of ‘Peter of Mayfair’.

With the addition of their son Steven and daughter Nicola to the business, the salon developed a whole new identity with them both making a name for themselves throughout the industry for their excellent training and innovative show work. 

Now with Steven’s son Josh and daughter Sophie becoming the third generation of hairdressers, the salon continues to grow. 2008 saw the addition of the first franchise salon in Cirencester, with Marlborough opening in 2012.

With Steven at the helm, the salon has built a solid reputation based on excellent training, customer service and proactive publicity. The salon group has also won the prestigious British Hairdresser of the Year for Wales & South West an impressive five times.

All our Goldsworthy’s salons have at least one Master Colour Expert, and Colour Specialist who is trained to degree level in delivering sensational hair colour, as well as multiple hair extensions specialists. 

​

With an in-house Trichologist, we specialise in hair loss and thinning hair and offer hair replacement systems as a cosmetic solution to hair issues.

We stock luxury hair brands L'Oreal Profesionnel, Kérastase,  and our high-quality hair extensions are ethically sourced and delivered by top brand Beauty Works.
