Changing Your Hair Colour & Colour Correction at Goldsworthy’s Hair Salons in Swindon, Cirencester & Marlborough
If you are looking to drastically change your hair colour, or you’ve experienced a hair colour disaster with a home dye kit, please contact us as soon as possible so we can help with your colour change or colour correction.
Our stylists are fully trained in the art of hair colour change and colour correction. We will assess your hair’s condition and recommend a course of action before we carry out any major services.
Please be realistic and open-minded during the consultation. We only have your best interests at heart and will come up with a plan that is tailored to you and your hair. It is very easy to be influenced by social media and how quickly a celebrity can change their hair. Ultimately we will never perform a service if it is going to compromise the health of your hair.
Please note: All clients who have not had a colour with us in the past 6 months must come in for a skin test at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. This is a legal necessity and is designed to ensure that you do not develop an allergic reaction to the product.
You can book your colour appointment online or call us on the links at the bottom of this page. Below are some of the more common questions we are asked by customers experiencing problems with hair colour.

My Hair Colour Has Gone Wrong – How Do I Fix It?
We understand the temptation to colour your hair at home, but trust us when we say it is not worth the risk! At our hair salons, we fix home hair colour disasters all the time. Whether your hair has become brittle from over-processing or the colour has not turned out as you wanted, rest assured our hair colour masters have the knowledge and experience to fix your hair colour issues.
My Hair Has Turned Orange – What Should I Do?
When using box dye hair colour at home, it can be notoriously difficult to achieve the same colour that you see advertised on the box. Blonde hair can turn green, a brassy blonde, or orange, while brunettes wanting to lighten their hair often end up with orange hair.
Seek professional help immediately. Do not try and colour your hair again at home! This can make your colour worse and further damage your hair.
My Hair Colour Is Uneven and Patchy
Patchy, uneven hair colour is another common side effect of at-home hair colour. Hair colouring is a technical skill and an art form, which means it is always best to get your hair coloured professionally. We will assess each section of your hair and treat each area to ensure you end up with blended hair colour (without the patches!)
