Balmain Global Ambassador Steven Goldsworthy & newly appointed UK Ambassador Joshua Goldsworthy worked along side fellow UK ambassadors Anne Veck & Skyler McDonald to create imagery for an 8 page gate-fold in Creative Head Magazine as well as images that will be used for publication and advertisements for the extentions giants in the forth coming year. Each hairdresser had their own model producing 2 styles of their own choice that would depict what Balmain Hair stands for as well as showcasing there own signature style. Steven & Joshua shared their two models creating a look on each, showing the diversity of the manor in which extensions can be used by using 2 very different models, one being short and blonde the other long and copper. All photos looked fantastic and will be published shortly.

Team members Dominic French, Matthew Evans & Jess Larrad from Goldsworthys Swindon restyled and made participants of Swindons Cycletta, endorsed by cyclist Victoria Pendelton, look beautiful after a very hard fought 40km charity bike ride using Baptiste Dry Shampoo. Proceeds from the day went to the Macmillan Cancer Fund. Director of the event Nick Hill said about the team "Without the help from people like yourselves and your team, our events would not be of the standard that they are."

Joshua Goldsworthy has been one of 20 shortlisted young hairdressers in with the chance to with The Sassoon's Scholarship in association with the Fellowship for British Hairdressing & Denman. The lucky winner will recieve a 4 week intensive cutting course with the world famous hairdressing franchise, this is something that has never been done before and would be a fantastic opportunity for any young hairdresser.

Julian Clarke & Joshua Goldsworthy were both invited down by President of the NHF Mark Coray to judge this years Welsh Championships. The pair judged all 14 events, awarding a Bronze, Silver & Gold award to all the lucky winners. Competitions included such disciplines as Hair Up, Colour, Mens & Bridal. A Welsh Ladies and Mens Overall Champion were also found through accumulative points throughout 3 different events on the day. Pictured are the pair with fellow judge Liz Shipton.

As part of Joshua's prize for winning Pro Hair Live Extensionist of the Year back in april Joshua was able to recreate his winning look for a bespoke photoshoot sponsored by Balmain Hair. Josh not only recreated his winning look (left) but also put together a complete collection of images following the theme of festivals and pastel colours, both of which are very current in the fashion world at present. The images will then be used as part of a 10 page spread in Professional Hairdresser Magazine later on this year, showing the collection along side behind the scenes photos on the day of the shoot as well as pictures from the competition itself.

Joshua Goldsworthy demonstrated to a host of industry names at this years Salon Smart conference held by Creative Head magazine in London's River Plaza Hotel. The 2 day conference saw business sessions and speeches from top hairdressers such as Andrew Collinge & Erroll Douglas. Joshua demonstrated a full head application of Balmain professional extensions, showing how quick and easily Double Hair & Systeme Volume can be applied. Josh attracted quite a buzz during his appearance at the luncheon session with many hairdressers intrigued on the innovative application.

The pair traveled down to Bristol where the shoot was held in and around the grounds of the gorgeous Old Downs Manor House. Hair styles ranged from simple lose waves to elegant up-dos with tiaras.

A Hairdresser has shown that his hair extension skills are a cut above the rest. Joshua Goldsworthy, of Goldsworthy’s Hairdressing Salon, in Catherine Street, Swindon, has won the title of Pro Hair Live Extensionist of the Year. The 21-year-old competed at a Pro Hair Live exhibition, in Manchester, in front of four judges and an audience.
“I do so much extension work in the salon and on my session and photographic work, which I regularly take part in, it really is my speciality,” he said. “It’s just such an achievement to win this award especially as the standard was so high. I am absolutely delighted.”
The competition was initially judged on photographs sent in by competitors.

Goldsworthys Art Team members Joshua Goldsworthy, Vicky Turner & Kelly Cook appeared on stage this week at Pro Hair Live, an exhibition set over 2 days in Manchester showcasing the UK's top hairdressing brands and stylists organised by Professional Hairdresser Magazine.
After a restful night in Manchester and a morning of chaos and hair prep Joshua was the first to appear on The Fellowship stage under the show title of 'Shooting Stars'. This saw Joshua and 4 other up and coming young hairdressers ready to set the industry ablaze demonstrate their skills live on stage. Josh's influences came from this years catwalk trends of plaits and waves. Demonstrating 2 fantastic looks (pictured).
With a quick change of model Vicky & Kelly were up next, the pair working on a model each in front of a large crowd. Inspired by the forth coming trend of waves Vicky had worked both looks to incorporate this, but in two very different ways. Vicky herself demonstrating a very elegant looking up-do and Kelly a pastel toned finger waved look. Both were beautiful (pictured)
And to Finish the day the team headed to support Joshua who took part in this years Pro Hair Live Extensionist of the Year Competition.. (see the next news segment for the results..)

At a recent awards ceremony held by our training provider Span Training Ltd, Goldsworthys Duo, Sarah Abbley (left) & Jess Larrad (right) were both recongnised for there hard work and great hairdressing skill.
Jess who works at Goldsworthys Swindon was awarded the 'Level 3 Apprentice of the Year', an award held by numerous Goldsworthys employees before her, proving the training at Goldsworthys Hairdressing really is second to none!
Sarah who works at Goldsworthys Cirencester was awarded one of Spans highest accolades, 'Outstanding Achievement' for completing her level 3 to a high standard and in a record time!

Joshua Goldsworthy visited the Princess Productions Studios located at the top of Whiteley's Shopping centre in London this week, to apply a full head of Balmain Hair Extensions for resident Booth Girl on Channel 5's The Wright Stuff, Kirsty Duffy.
Kirsty tweeted saying, "Josh_Golds you worked your magic and its awesome.. so many compliments already.. you legend its fab"

Joshua Goldsworthy teamed up with fashion journalist Amber Phillips & photographer Ellie Kynaston to showcase some of this years trends emerging from the catwalks. Joshua created to looks one being a elegant 40's wave inspired by the hair icon of the moment Lana Del Ray and the second (pictured) being a more Editorial/Session lead textured style. The trio were thrilled with their results and it looks as if it could be the start of a future team production. The images along with a large write up and a how to from Joshua will be published in a top fashion segment in the next month.

Joshua Goldsworthy has reached the finals of Professional Hairdressers Extensionist of the Year 2012. To get this far Joshua had to submit a photo showing his extensions work, from this all entrants were then judges and shortlisted down to a final 5. These finalist were treated by Balmain Hair to a £250 hair voucher along with any hair needed for the competition day, as well as this they had a days mentoring from our very own, and Global Ambassador for Balmian Hair, Steven Goldsworthy. On the day of the final, the 2nd April, the final 5 will have to recreate their images live in front of a panel of esteemed judges and a 1000 strong audience in 40minutes with the winner gaining the title of Pro Hair Extensionist of the Year, a photoshoot to recreate their image for Professional Hairdresser magazine with the potential of a front cover as well as plenty of PR.
